Kromer Family 5K Fundraiser

YOUNGSTOWN, NY: On Monday, June 25th, the Kromer family lost their home and all of their personal belongings in an overnight fire. Randy woke up to the smell of smoke only to find their garage was engulfed in flames. He immediately woke his wife Sara, son Jason, and daughter Anna and helped them escape from the house (along with their pet dog) without injury. Local firefighters from both Youngstown and Ransomville responded quickly, but the home and all of it's contents were completely destroyed by the time it was over.

The family will be temporarily living with friends as they work to recover from this life changing event. A GoFundMe page has been established and this race is being organized to not only help raise money, but to bring family and friends together to offer support and lift their spirits.

START/FINISH
The event will take place on Sunday July 22nd. Both the 5K Run and 1 Mile Fun Walk will start at the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Hall in the Village of Youngstown. We are planning to use the Nancy Price Memorial 5K Course that features an out and back run through beautiful Fort Niagara State Park.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Race day registration and packet pickup will take place inside the fire hall from 8:30am right up until the start of the race at 10:00am.

Register by midnight Friday 7-20-18 for best pricing!

5K Run (19 and older) .................. $15 / $20 after 7-20-18
5K Run (18 and younger) ............. $10 / $15 after 7-20-18
1M Walk (19 and older) ................ $15 / $20 after 7-20-18
1M Walk (18 and younger) ........... $10 / $15 after 7-20-18
Optional t-shirt .............................. $10 (must order by 7-16)

Note: Race Management Solutions (The Beatty Family) will be donating complete timing and finish line services to help the Kromer family. In addition, all sponsorship money raised will be donated to the Youngstown Volunteer Fire Company. Click on the "Sponsors" button at the top of the page for additional information.

If you prefer to mail in your registration, please download both the race waiver and appropriate USATF liability waiver below and mail to the address shown. You must complete and mail BOTH waivers to the address shown on the waiver along with your check payable to iRunWNY by 7-15-18.

POST RACE CELEBRATION

Join us after the race inside the Youngstown Fire Hall where everyone is invited for the post race celebration and awards ceremony. There will be music, food from some of our great local establishments, beverages, raffles and more!

PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking in the lot across the street from the fire hall and on surrounding streets.

AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female 5K finishers and awards will be given to the top three male and female 5K runners in each of the following age groups:

14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.

TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
The 5K Run will feature a gun start and chip finish. Timing and finish line services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results will be updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
